Sharon Hicks puts the finishing touches on the mural she painted for the civic center office. Hicks, who said she has no formal training, said she wanted to include key points of interest on the Key Peninsula in the mural. She spent about 75 hours painting the two large wood boards, and said it was a labor of love. It was finished and hung in August.
