A summary of calls for Pierce County Sheriff’s Department for Dec. 13 to Jan. 19

 

Dec. 13 between 2:50 and 3:30 p.m.

13700 block of 100th St. 98329

Residential burglary by known suspects

The victim reported that while he was away from the home, his roommate was lured away from the house by a known female, 26, so that two males, a 34-year-old from Tacoma and a 51-year-old, no address provided, could burglarize the residence. Security cameras inside the house were smashed out, but he recognized one of the suspects on the tape while he was destroying the camera. The victim also recognized a second suspect. The exterior security camera captured a Ford Excursion type vehicle on tape. The suspects stole a safe with collector baseball cards and personal information, a 50 inch Plasma TV, four laptops, an X-box 360 and 50 games, tools and motorcycle riding gear.

Theft

10900 block of Bliss Cochrane Rd.

A doorknob and lock box were stolen from the front door.

 

Dec. 16, 9:15 a.m.

1000 block of Whiteman Rd. KP S., Lakebay

Residential burglary, theft,

Victims were away and suspects attempted entry at a rear sliding glass door and window that were locked, but removed a bathroom window screen to slide open the unlocked window and climbed through. Once inside rummaged through bedroom dresser and took jewelry. No suspect info.

Between Dec. 17, 9 p.m. and Dec. 18, 6 p.m.

Costless Pharmacy

Theft from building

The property manager for the building which houses Cost Less Pharmacy reported that an air compressor was stolen. Suspects cut the locks on the gates on both sides of the building and cut the lock on the cage that housed the Ingersoll Rand compressor. Valued at $1200. Outdoor freezer was also opened. Waiting for video footage.

 

Between Dec. 17, 3:30 p.m. and Dec. 21, 10:30 a.m.

11200 block of Vipond Dr. NW, 98329

Burglary

The victim said unknown persons entered his detached shed and removed a marine battery, battery charger and an extension cord. Entry was made through an unsecured shed door.

 

Between Dec. 18, 8 a.m. and Dec.22, 8 am.

2700 block of 158th Ave. KP S.

Telephone harassment

Suspects called the victim to say her account is $3,000 in arrears and they need her bank account number or credit card number.

 

Dec. 19, 5:45 p.m.

Cost Less Pharmacy

Forgery, falsely obtaining prescription drugs

A 48-year-old male used a forged prescription in attempt to get Oxycodone. The prescription was not filled, and the suspect left before law enforcement arrived.

 

Dec. 20, 2 a.m.

12900 block of 144th Ave. 98329

Residential burglary

A neighbor called to report that a white older Ford probe was driving away at a high rate of speed and he noticed the garage door open and the dome light on in one of the vehicles inside. Suspects entered the garage and took a variety of tools. All of the items that were taken were found in a ditch near the residence and returned to the victim.

 

 

Dec. 21 between 6 a.m. and 9:15 p.m.

3900 block of KP Hwy S., Longbranch

Burglary

Suspects stole a  6000 watt Craftsman generator, chainsaw, sawzall, and drill. Possible entry through unlocked window. No signs of forced entry, no suspects.

 

Dec. 22, 9:40 p.m.

16700 block of Erickson Rd., Longbranch

Burglary

Victim’s neighbor reported an alarm going off and a vehicle sped away from the scene. Victims were not home at the time. Unknown suspects pried the front door and broke the window to gain entry. Costume type jewelry was taken. Appears suspects were familiar with the home.

 

Dec. 22, 10 p.m.

9000 block of KP Hwy N, Lakebay

Burglary

Suspects entered through a back door and also attempted to enter a storage shed on the property. Lights on the back porch were unscrewed from the fixture. Door was not damaged and suspects did not gain entry to the store. Cameras captured good footage of the suspects.

 

Dec. 25 between 1 and 5 p.m.

1000 block of Whiteman Road

Residential burglary

Suspects came in by prying open a locked bathroom window. Checkbooks, change counter and change were taken.

 

Dec. 25 between 5 a.m. and 6:45 p.m.

18600 block of 27th St. Lakebay

Residential burglary

Suspects entered the home but didn’t appear to take anything. Victim believes they could have been scared off. Some fingerprints were at the scene and forensics was requested to process.

 

Between Dec. 25, 8 a.m. and Dec. 26, noon

12900 block of 133rd Ave. 98329

Theft of trailer

Suspects stole a utility trailer with Oregon license plates out of the victim’s driveway.

 

Dec. 27 between 12:30 p.m. and 4:20 p.m.

18400 block of SR 302

Residential burglary

Suspects entered the house through an unlocked front door. Jewelry and gold nuggets were stolen.

 

Dec. 27 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Residential burglary

1700 block of 194th Ave., Lakebay

Suspects kicked in his front door and stole three remote control cars and four battery packs all valued at $3,200.

11000 block of Minterwood Drive

Vehicle prowl, theft

Suspects entered two vehicles in an open garage. A friend who was staying in a motor home in the driveway saw a white male with black coat entering one of the vehicles. Suspects stole a camera, GPS, portable DVD player and set of keys from the vehicles.

 

 

Dec. 28 between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m.

17010 S. Vaughn Rd. KP Civic Center

Theft of vehicle part

Caretaker of the property reported a vehicle prowl and 12 gallons of gas siphoned from his vehicle while it was parked at the KP civic center.

 

 

Dec. 30, noon,

Vipond Dr. NW 118th Ave. NW

Trespassing, weapons violation, unlawful possession of controlled substance, felony ARREST, suspect 40-year-old male from 12400 block of 134th Ave. KP N

Witnesses called to report a male wandering around the neighborhood pushing a BMX bike who looked suspicious. While the officer was talking to witnesses the suspect was seen throwing a black bag into bushes near the side of the road as he continued riding. The officer contacted the male suspect and recognized him. He was read his rights, and patted down for weapons and officers found a 6 inch blade and 4 inch handle in the breast pocket of his coat, a 4 inch folding knife in the front pocket of his sweat jacket, a garden nozzle with brass fitting in another pocket. Inside the black bag in the bushes was a full sized machete wrapped in a black coat. An electronic scale was found in his pants pocket and parts of it were covered in crystals. The crystals tested positive for methamphetamine. Suspect was taken to jail and booked on charges of possession of burglary tools, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, criminal trespass and felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.

 

Jan. 1, 7:20 p.m.

14100 block of 130th St. 98329

Motor Vehicle Theft

Victim tried to report his truck was stolen in October, but there was no record of the truck as reported stolen. The victim found his truck sitting in the back yard of a house on 130th St. KP N. Deputies went to the property and saw the truck and contacted the residents. They said a male known as “Greg” showed up with another male at their house Dec. 12, and they were towing the truck with a red SUV and it had a flat front tire. “Greg” told them the truck was his and he didn’t think he could get it to his house in Lake of the Woods. He asked if he could leave it there and come back for it later. The victim inspected the truck and found the factory stereo, a diamond plate tailgate panel and battery were missing. The grill was removed and in the back of the truck, the rear license plate was also removed. The center armrest was broken and ignition punched. The truck was released to the victim. The residents agreed to pay to have the truck towed to the victim’s residence.

 

Jan. 3 between 2:30 and 3:35 p.m.

12900 block of 118th Ave NW

Residential burglary

The victim had gone to the store and returned an hour later to find his house had been burglarized. Suspects pried open a door to gain access. Suspects stole a laptop, Wii game console, jewelry, cash and part of a coin collection. No suspect info.

 

Jan. 7, midnight

5600 block of Reynolds Rd.

Burglary

Suspects entered the carport and took a welding helmet hood, pressure washer, chainsaw and a generator. No suspect info, but victim said suspicious vehicles were in the area recently.

 

Jan. 10 between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

15700 block of 128th St. 98329

Burglary

Suspects used the victim’s hammer to break a padlock to gain entry to a detached garage. Victims could not find anything missing, but things were moved around.

 

Jan. 10, 9 a.m.

2400 block of Herron Rd.

Front door was pried open and the refrigerator was taken. No suspect info.

 

Between Jan. 15, 4 p.m. and Jan.19, noon

2900 block of 158th Ave. KP S

Theft

Unknown suspects entered the residence and stole a 12-gauge shotgun and a  .22 rifle.

 

 

Jan. 16, 12:45 a.m.

15100 block of Goodrich Dr. NW

Residential burglary

Deputies were dispatched to a house alarm. A window was broken in the basement and the door was open. No one was found inside, but at least on TV was taken. Three shoe prints were found in the fresh snow, photos were taken of the prints and forensics was requested for fingerprint processing.

 

Jan. 19, 7 p.m.

Cost Less Pharmacy

An ATM machine was taken from the pharmacy that was outside the store. Video surveillance was given to PC Sheriff’s Dept.
